Patricia Ramaer with two of the victorian portraits linked to sailing she has collected the enlarged and printed on parchment.
Patricia Ramaer travelled to one of the most inhospitable parts of the globe on a Barquentine tall ship, following the trail laid by explorers and adventurers of long ago. Experiencing the ethereal atmosphere of the Arctic wilderness, she captured the history of the pioneers and the reality of the present in her unique photographic artworks. In the exhibition Patricia portrays the anomaly of the disappearing Polar ice caps and the adventurous spirit of the very brave people who risked their lives to discover the boundaries of our planet.
The exhibition, entitled “Between” is at Dundee’s Dock Street Studios. 11am to 5.00 pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays each week from 1 March to 4 April 2020
